Elizabeth Grey Brame Henry, 100, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017. She was born October 30, 1916 in Wake County to the late William Andrew Brame and Mary Lillian Griffin Brame.

She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. She owned Elizabeth's Antiques in Wendell for 71 years until retiring at age 97 in 2013.  During that time, many of her customers became lifelong friends.  Elizabeth loved to travel and never passed up an opportunity for a trip.  She loved her hometown of Wendell, and was named Citizen of the Year in 2016. Above all else she loved her family, faithfully cooking Sunday lunches served on fine china so that everyone could spend time together. She lived a long and active life, and will be missed by all who knew her.                        

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Wendell Baptist Church, 3651 Wendell Blvd., Wendell, NC 27591 with Reverend Chris Hilliard officiating.

The family will receive relatives and friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall and other times at the home of Mary Beth Henry Liles, 3521 Wendell Blvd., Wendell, NC 27591.

A private interment service will take place at Greenmount Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Beth Henry Liles of Wendell and special friend Bruce Mason of Zebulon; granddaughters: Christi Marie Henry Denton (Sammy) of Zebulon, Jennifer Liles Woody (Ed) of Wendell, and Elizabeth Michelle Foster (Edwin) of Zebulon; great-grandchildren: Tucker, Tanner and Abbey Denton; Greysen Elizabeth and Emma Kate Woody; Mary Elizabeth, Ava, and Riley Foster.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Clarence Henry, Sr.; granddaughter, Angela Michelle Henry; son, Marshall Clarence Henry, Jr.; and siblings:  Janie Brame Tunnell, Frances Brame Dew, Helen Brame Farmer, William Andrew Brame, Jr., and Dr. Robert Griffin Brame.
