Nancy Laura Boykin, 69, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017. She was born August 14, 1947 in Johnston County to the late Charles A. Boykin and Rachel Lucas Boykin. Nancy worked as an Income Case Maintenance Supervisor II with the Wayne County Dept. of Social Services and retired with 31 years of service.

A service to celebrate her life will be held 4:00 pm, Thursday, June 22, 2017 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Rd., Knightdale, 27545.

The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 2:00 pm to 3:45 pm at the funeral home.

Surviving: daughters: Carol Daughtry (Randy) of Clayton, Tammy Fulford of Weaverville; grandchildren: Zachary and Nicholas Daughtry; and Tucker B. her beloved pet poodle.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her brother, Charles David Boykin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Transitions LifeCare, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
