Robert Raeford Bailey, Sr., 86, passed away January 20, 2017.  He was born November 22, 1930 in Dillon, South Carolina to the late Marvin Julius Bailey and Ruby Edwards Bailey. He was a beloved, son, husband, father, papa, brother, and uncle.  His love of family, hunting, fishing, pranks, and Wal-Mart was known by all.  He was actively working with his wife in their company,R&K Cleaning. 

Funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Monday, January, 23, 2017 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel.  Burial will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27612.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00-8:00 pm, Sunday, January, 22, 2017, at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545

Surviving: wife, Ruby Jean Bailey of 67 years; sons, Steve Bailey (Carole), Robert R. “Bill” Bailey Jr, Marvin J. (Buddy) Bailey (Sharon); daughters, Gloria Willoughby (Bobby), Patricia Ann Williams, and Audrey Bailey (Ronald); sisters, Jewel Parrish, Ida Greenhill (Dennis), Barbara Evans(Paul), Gail Turner (Michael), Carol Wright.   

His extended family also includes 21 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, 81 nieces and nephews, and a large amount of aunts and cousins.  A special thank you to Kimberly Mears for always being there for our parents.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers. E. Douglas Bailey, M. Dalton Bailey; sister, Brenda J. Johnson
