So sorry for your loss. He was a really great guy and I always enjoyed speaking with him. My son Skyler and RJ played ball together and Rex was the coach. I am also your mail carrier so I would get to speak to him at the box. Praying for you all

Liz and I wish to send our condolences to Susan and all of Rex's kith and kin. We were fortunate to have known Rex from all the spectacular Fourth of July events. They were urban legend at Ridge Crest, the highlight of the summer and everyone was invited! The food, fun and conversating were always ended with a fireworks display that could rival the best of the best from east to west! Rex was the "best of the best" and his love for his loved ones will continue to shine on! God bless Rex and his family.

First of all I would like to give my condolences to the Johnson family. Rex was not just one my favorite contractors, but he was also a very good friend. Rex will never be forgotten. He was a very proud man and an honorable man. Rex would always put others before himself. I used to ask him why he did some of the things he did. And Rex would always reply... "cause they needed it worse than me"!!! That's the Rex Johnson I will always remember!! Rest in PEACE my friend..

Rex was one of the good ones. Just an all around good guy. We got to know him through one of his loves - baseball. He cared about the kids and did what he could for everyone involved. He will be missed. Our love out to Susan and R.J. and the rest of the family.

Rex was a member of our Raleigh chapter of the Concerned Bikers Association for a while. He was a nice fellow and put some effort into helping where he could. He managed a web site for us for a time. I recall he had a motorcycle accident just prior to joining our group but healed up and came on in. He was well-liked and when he quit coming around, he was missed. I'd see him once in a great while at Barham's in Z town. He was always nice. I am truly sorry for his passing and send my condolences.

Rex was a great baseball coach and an even better person. I'm thankful my family and I got to know him. May Susan and R.J. and his many loved ones find comfort in recalling the millions of laughs and happy times they must have shared with Rex!
