Words cannot even begin to express the overwhelming sadness that I felt when my mother broke the news to me just this morning! Utter disbelief.....to know such a phenomenal life that has been taken away so suddenly. I will not even pretend that we were best friends, or even close friends, that we kept in touch with each other throughout the years of adulthood following our high school careers. We had brief conversations, shared a few laughs and a few jokes and that's the thing with you Randy that I do know! You were no stranger to anyone.....you were simply "THAT DUDE." Even with those brief encounters I could truly say that you were my friend because you never treated me any less. It was nothing to see you talking to anyone or sharing laughs with anyone. That I remember and truly admire about you and that I will forever cherish. I didn't have to be best friends with you to know that you were truly a genuine soul, a unique soul and I bless God that I was able to share those brief moments with you. As you are resting......I pray that the peace of God be with your children, loved ones and close friends & distant friends. I pray that those overwhelming moments of sadness be replaced by the fond memories of your smile. I pray this open the eyes of everyone who knew you to cherish and cling tight to those who have made an impact on their lives as you have done for so many others. You will truly, truly be missed! Seeing this memorial page is so unreal to me. We've grown up together since we were 3-4 years old. Our mothers were close and you were Devante's big brother! When I first started school in K.DALE I knew I had no worries as long as I had my big cousin/brother there to protect me. You have always protected me since I was a little girl.
