Norman Eugene “Dub” Kluttz, 85, of Raleigh passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017. He was born January 18, 1932 in Rowan County to the late Andrew Chalmer Kluttz and Mildred Hoke Kluttz Hicks. He graduated from Boyden High School and honorably served his country in the US Air Force. He later graduated from Pheiffer College. Norman retired as Executive Director with The Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service (ASCS) after 32 years of service. He was an avid Tarheels and New York Yankees fan.        

Memorial Visitation, 1:00 to 4:00 pm, Saturday, December 16, 2017 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service & Crematory, 944 Old Knight Rd., Knightdale, 27545. 

Surviving: loving wife of 59 years, Annie Lee Copley Kluttz; children: Deborah Lynn “Debbie” Kluttz of Raleigh, Tammie Kluttz Maynard (Gordon) of Zebulon, Norman Eugene “Gene” Kluttz, Jr. of Columbia, SC, Sandie Kluttz Adkins (Brian) of Knightdale; 3 special grandsons: Christopher Maynard of Middlesex, Shaun Maynard of Zebulon, Jeremy Adkins (Natalia) of Stem; 1 special great-grandson, Jace Adkins; sister, Peggy Kluttz Schenk of Plantation, FL; numerous nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, Norman was preceded in death by brother, Andrew “Bud” Kluttz.   

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
