Edward W. Atty was born on April 9, 1921 in Johnstown, NY to Edward J. Atty and Eula Beck Atty. He was a graduate of Johnstown High School.  Edward served in the US Army as a telecommunication instructor at Camp Crowder in Missouri from 1943 to 1946. He worked for AT&T as a supervisor for 42 years in Albany, Utica, and Syracuse NY before retiring. In 1942, he married Marjorie M. (Astle) Atty whom he worked with at AT&T. Marjorie also worked as a bookkeeper at the Camp Crowder Laundry. Together they shared 71 wonderful years. 

Edward was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Douglas Atty, and his loving wife Marjorie. 

A visitation will be held on Friday March 24th, 2017 at L. Harold Poole Funeral home, Knightdale, from 2-3pm, with a short service to follow.  

A graveside service will be on March 30th at 11am at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Warners, NY.
