Rex Allan Johnson, 59, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2017 at his home. He was born June 7, 1957 in Monroe County, NY to Allan Johnson and the late Virginia Peters Frasier Johnson. Rex honorably served his country in the US Navy.  

Funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Monday, February 20, 2017 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Rd., Knightdale, 27545. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 3:00 to 5:00 pm, Sunday, February 19, 2017 at the funeral home.

Surviving: wife, Susan Bunn Johnson; daughter, Jodi J. Hinton (Adam); sons: Rex “R.J.” Johnson, II; Matthew Parrish all of Zebulon; grandchildren: James Hinton, Gabriel Parrish, Weston Parrish, Wyatt Parrish; sisters: Sandra Sanford of Wendell, Melanie Anderson of Conway, SC; brother, Scott Frasier of Bunn.
