On Tuesday, September 28, 2021 Eddie went to his Heavenly home. He was born August 7, 1964 in Wake County, to the late Paul Poindexter Shepard, Jr. and Hazel Marshall Shepard. Eddie graduated from The Patterson School Class of 1983 and proudly served his country in the US Navy as a seaman on the USS Nimitz. Afterwards, he began and loved his career as a surveyor which he did for over thirty years in Raleigh and surrounding areas. Eddie loved our little white house in the woods, as well as our time sitting together in the swing, cooking out, and watching the birds. He had quite a sense of humor, always putting a smile on your face. Eddie’s creative passion and talent was his love for music and his drums, which he played in the Raleigh area for thirty five plus years as well as some touring. Eddie was my gentle and loving husband, my best friend, partner and soulmate who made me and my world complete. He was my love of a lifetime. He was also a loving and devoted father to our girls, and grandpa to our grandsons.
“Eddie was a beautiful person, with a huge heart and a personality bigger than life”.
