William Paul Franks, Jr.

William Paul Franks, Jr., 60, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021 at his home. He was born January 18, 1961 in Wake County to William Paul Franks, Sr. and the late Henrietta Poole Watts. Paul dedicated many of his years coaching baseball and football for the Garner Community. He was an avid sportsman and dedicated member of the Panther Branch Hunting Club. Paul loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and loved traveling with his friends. 

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, July 22, 2021 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 S. Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 27603.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545.

Paul is survived by his wife, Patricia Garrett Franks; children: William Cole Franks (Amber), Daniel Taylor Franks (Meredith), Heather Marie Pitt (Michael), Justin Tyler Morris, Courtney Morris Heltzel (Jonathan); grandchildren: Mason, Hunter, Brayden, Julian, Parker, Beckett, Turner, Teegan, Jett, and Carter; father: William Paul Franks, Sr. (Becky); brother, Kenneth Ray Franks; and a sister, Angela Franks.
