Virginia (Wootton) Beal

Virginia Wootton Beal, 80, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2021. She was born March 16, 1941 in Boone, NC to the late James Gordon Wootton and Ollie Covington Wootton. Virginia was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and worked as a secretary for the Baptist State Convention for many years.   

A graveside service will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 8400 Poole Road, Knightdale, NC. 

The family will receive relatives and friends in the church fellowship hall after the service for a time of refreshments and fellowship.  

She is survived by her husband of forty-nine years, Charles Ray Beal; sister, Sylvia Nolan; step-daughter, Tondra Hutchinson; granddaughter, Isabel Hutchinson; sisters-in-law: Martha Waldrep (Don), Claudia Hester; several nieces and nephews. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Baptist Children's Homes of NC, P.O. Box 338, Thomasville, NC 27361.
