Thomas Anthony Dargan

Thomas Dargan, 95, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022. He was born May 17, 1927. Tom was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He was a son of Delvin, Ireland and longtime resident of Queens, New York. Tom was a member of Ceoltas, (the Irish music association) and a devoted employee of 33 years with the Long Island Railroad.

He is survived by wife, Rita (nee) Fitzpatrick; children and their spouses: Maria, Todd, Tommy, Larry, and Lisa; grandchildren: William and his wife, Elizabeth, Kimberly, Patrick, and Julia. Tom is the last surviving Dargan and is predeceased by his sisters: Mary Rose, Elizabeth, Philomena, Helena, Bridget, and brothers: Peter and Michael. He will be sorely missed by many nieces and nephews in Ireland , Massachusetts, Seattle, England, Sydney, and Melbourne, Australia. Tom will be missed by his brother in laws in Co. Laois, Ireland; Michael, John, Joe, and sister in laws: Peg, Lilian, Nonie, Ann, Mary (predeceased) Edmund (predeceased), Breeda and Peader of Australia. 

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 2811 Poole Road, Raleigh, NC 27610 at 1:00 pm, Saturday August 6, 2022. Burial will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park.
