Ruby Edna (Johnson) Brown

Ruby Edna Johnson Brown, 90, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2021. She was born July 5, 1930 in Richmond County to the late Floyd S. Johnson, Sr. and Lula Cates Johnson. Ruby retired as an accounting manager at Southland Corporation/7-Eleven. As long as her health permitted she attended Broken Wing Fellowship in Garner and was known for sending cards and notes. Ruby loved her family and will be greatly missed. 

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. 

There will be an open visitation 2:00 to 4:00 pm, Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at the funeral home for anyone wishing to pay their respects, the family will not be present. Masks and social distancing are required while in the funeral home. 

Surviving: son, Luther “Eddie” Brown, Jr. (Gail); daughter, Karen Ogle (Jack); grandson, Edwin Booth Brown (Jen); brothers: James, Phillip, Leroy, David, Ashley, Andrew, Kenneth Johnson   sisters: Anna J. Glidewell, Mary J. Oliver. 

In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Edwin Brown, Sr.; brother, Floyd S. Johnson.
