Obituary
Richard “Monkey Doo” Sinclair Clay, 57, passed away at his home suddenly on Thursday, September 9, 2021. He was born on June 5, 1964 in Wake County to Dorothy Primus Clay and the late James Lonnie Clay. Richard graduated in 1982 from East Wake High School and worked with several farmers in the Knightdale area.
A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held 1:00 pm, Friday, September 17, 2021 at Malaby’s Crossroads Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Smithfield Road, Knightdale, NC 27545.
A visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, Friday, September 17, 2021 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service & Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale.
In addition to his mother, Dorothy, he is survived by son, Richard Sinclair Clay, Jr.; daughter, Brittany; six grandchildren; sisters: Sharon Clay, Brenda Clay Edwards (Anthony), Tiffany Clay; his special friend, Dale Pulley and a host of nieces, nephews and special friends.
