Peter "Pete" Paul Dunlow

Peter “Pete” Paul Dunlow, 77, passed away Friday, October 1, 2021 after a brief illness. He was born December 31, 1943 in Bertie County to the late Rassie Dunlow and Rochester Leary Dunlow. Pete graduated from Bertie High School. He retired from Westinghouse as a Journeyman Tool and Die Maker with 30 years of service. Following retirement, Pete and Barbara owned and operated Dunlow’s Lawn Care, where he was still working until August 13th.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 125 S. Selma Road, Wendell, NC 27591. Burial will follow at Hephzibah Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at the church.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Barbara Ann Harb Dunlow; son, Jerry W. Young (Denise); daughters: Deborah Young Floyd (Wayne), Lisa Perry, Christina Nesse (Chuck); 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters: Mary Gold Shubitowski, Ruth D. Allen (Huey); brothers: Donnie W. Dunlow, Jackie Dunlow, Lannie Dunlow (Faye).                 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Edward Young; 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
