Pamela (Hildreth) Jones

“Pam” Jones, 76, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Wake Med surrounded by her loving family. The family takes comfort knowing that Pam is now in heaven with her Lord and Savior. Pam was born January 14, 1942 in Nashville, TN to the late James Gentry Hildreth and Merle Adams Hildreth. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother (Grammy), sister and friend. Pam was a very active and dedicated member of Milner Memorial Presbyterian Church for over forty years. She served as an Elder, a Deacon, and was the Chairman of a Pastor Nominating Committee. She was a Worship Committee member, a faithful member of the Ladies Circle #2, prepared the Communion Elements, and volunteered for Meals on Wheels. Pam was the ultimate “Home” maker, devoting her time to her three daughters and six grandchildren. Her sincere smile made everyone feel special. Pam loved to cook and entertain guests, and holiday celebrations were her specialty. Everyone felt better about themselves after they had been around Pam. 

Surviving: husband, William Lee Jones “Bill”; daughters: Christie J. Sharpe (Kevin) of Wake Forest, Angie Jones Howard of St. Simons Island, GA, Melinda J. Keen (Randall) of Raleigh; sister, Barbara H. Wright (Ross) of IN: grandchildren: Jason Sharpe, Trevor Howard, Trey Howard, Emily Sharpe, Samantha Kasior, Avery Keen.  

A Celebration of Pam’s life will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 4:00pm at Milner Memorial Presbyterian Church, 1950 New Bern Avenue, Raleigh, 27610. 

The family will receive relatives and friends immediately following the service.
