Martha (Boughman) Crouse

Martha Boughman Crouse, 84, passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021. She was born September 29, 1936 in Johnston County to the late Woodrow Boughman and Swannanoa Eason Boughman. She graduated Valedictorian from Corinth Holders High School in 1954 and attended secretarial school at ECU graduated with a two year degree in 1956. Martha loved to travel, she visited all fifty states and sixteen countries. She loved to sew, quilt and do religious crossword puzzles, she also loved gardening. Before she became ill she attended Grace Baptist Church. 

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Monday, October 4, 2021 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale. Entombment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery Mausoleum. 

The family will receive relatives and friends from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, Sunday, October 3, 2021 at the funeral home. 

She is survived by her husband Raymond Charles Crouse; daughter, Sheryl Crouse; brother, Wade Boughman (Ann); nephews: Jeffrey Fulghum, Greg Fulghum; niece, Debbie Hartley (Brian) and their son, Brooks; brother-in-law, Raiford Fulghum. 

In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Fulghum.
