Margie Maude (Hendricks) Rand

Margie Maude Hendricks Rand, 77, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022. She was born March 1, 1945 in Portsmouth, VA to the late Rompton Poe Hendricks and Bertha Liles Spicer. She attended Wendell High School and grew up going to Hephzibah Baptist Church. Her career varied from working for the State of NC, airline industry, boating industry, real estate, retiring from the tax appraisals business with Doyle & Associates before she moved to Ocean Isle Beach. Margie loved music, dancing and a good Margarita. She and her husband Mickey loved attending concerts at the beach and SOS at Myrtle Beach. 

A graveside service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Greenmount Cemetery, Industrial Drive, Wendell. 

She is survived by her husband, Mickey Donald Hill; son, Ryan Rand and wife, Heather; grandchildren: Christina Johnson, Kenneth Johnson, Kaitlyn Rand; five great-grandchildren; step-son, Christopher Hill; daughter-in-law, Mary Johnson; brother, Robert Hendricks and wife, Gail; sister, Dixie Hicks and husband, Roger; sister and brother-in-laws; several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, Margie was preceded in death by her son, Curtis Lee Johnson, Jr. and sister, Diane Hendricks Privette.
