Manuella (House) Barrett

Manuella House Barrett, 88 passed away Friday, April 15, 2022. She was born June 18, 1933 in Wake County to the late Harper Hillman House and Ruth Hare House.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 23, 2022 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale. Burial will follow at Old Knightdale Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.

She is survived by her children: Marilyn Wood Lewis (Warren), Linda Wood Houser, Robert S. Wood (Trina), Teresa Wood Niemeyer (Mark), Judy Larue Wood; ten grandchildren: ten great-grandchildren; sister: Marjorie House Walker; two step-daughters; several step-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Dollie House, Betsy House.

In addition to her parents, Manuella was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph M. Barrett; siblings: Harper Hillman House, Jr., Talmadge Wesley House, Howard Marshall House, Rebecca House Wilson; half-sisters: Edith King, Eileen Arnold.
