Louise (Davis) Lamm

Louise Davis Lamm, 76, passed away peacefully Monday, July 9, 2018 at Transitions LifeCare surrounded by her loving and caring family. Louise was born September 7, 1941 in Johnston County to Jodie Davis and Viola Johnson Davis. She married the love of her life, John on February 7, 1960. She began her career working a Carolina Trailways, various positions in the Federal Government and also worked as a receptionist at the Administration Building for Governor Jim Hunt’s 1st term. She retired after 27 years as the Librarian with Poyner-Spruill Law Firm. As long as her health permitted, she was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. 

 A service to celebrate her life will be held 6:30 pm Friday, July 13, 2018 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, 27545, with Horace Davis delivering the eulogy.     

The family will receive relatives and friends immediately following the service until 8:30 pm at the funeral home. 

Surviving: husband, John Robert Lamm; sons: John Rodney Lamm of Raleigh, Jason Scott Lamm of Wake Forest; granddaughters: Alissa Nicole Lamm and Kaitlyn Marie Lamm; great-granddaughter, Ava Marie Logue; sisters: Dorothy Godwin of Winchester, VA and Mary Kimbro of Haw River; brothers: Horace Davis of Garner, James E. Davis of Harker Heights, TX, and Jackie Davis of Wilson; several nieces and nephews; and her precious miniature dachshund, “Louie”. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Howard Davis, who passed away in the Korean War; and a sister, Evelyn Sue Davis.
