Lonnie Lee Maye

Lonnie Lee Maye, 74, passed away Wednesday August 14, 2019. He was born February 23, 1945 in Wake County to the late Foster Maye and Hattie Catlette Maye. Lonnie retired after 24 years of service as a Machinist with Square D. 

Memorial service 12:00 pm, Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Wake Cross Roads Baptist Church, 3328 Forestville Rd, Raleigh. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery. 

The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 11:00 to 12:00 pm at the church and other times at the home. 

Surviving: wife, Rebecca “Becky” Liles Maye; daughters: Amie Maye Shehzad of Wake Forest, Lori Maye Callaway of Raleigh; grandsons: Jordan Maye, Jibran Shehzad; granddaughter, Alyssa Callaway; brothers: Hilton Maye (Evelyn) of Wake Forest, Roger Maye (Sandy) of Red Oak; father-in-law, Vasser Glenwood Liles; brother-in-law, Glen Liles as well as several nieces and nephews.           

In addition to his parents, Lonnie was preceded in death by brothers: Joe Richard Maye, Clarence “Bud” Maye and sister, Polly Wall; son-in-law, Jeremy Callaway.
