Obituary
Kay Frances Huggins Meredith, 86, passed away Monday, November 14, 2022. She was born February 26, 1936 in Wood County, WV to the late Cecil Huggins and Elma Sweeney Huggins. Kay was a self-employed Dressage Rider, Trainer and Author.
She is survived by her sons, Kevin Meredith and Shaun Meredith; grandchildren: Kevin Aaron Meredith and Ashley Meredith; sisters: Nancy Jean Huggins Thomas and Suzanne Huggins.
A memorial service to celebrate Kay’s life will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 15, 2023 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545.
The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 1:45 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kay’s memory to The Dressage Foundation at dressagefoundation.org, to carry on the work she helped found.
