John Robert Darr, Jr.

John Robert Darr, Jr., 73, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022. He was born August 17, 1948 in Wake County to the late John Robert Darr, Sr. and Ruby Self Darr. He was the owner of Darrs Signs of Wendell for 37 years. He loved spending time with his family and 2 small dogs. His hobbies included trains, koi fish ponds, watching WWE, collecting coins, and restoring his red 1970 Chevrolet Nova. 

A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Monday, May 23, 2022 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service & Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale. 

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Donna Caldwell Darr; daughter, Amanda Nicole Strickland (Steven); sons: John Allen Darr (Becky), Troy Glenn Darr (Yara), Justin Robert Darr (Kim); grandchildren: McKenzy, Caleb, J.R., Avian, Grayson, Hailey, Oakley, Oliver; great-grandson, Edwin; sister, Elaine Flowers (Danny); brother, Guy Darr (Lizzy).
