Jimmy Wayne Watkins

Jimmy Wayne Watkins, 63, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2019. He was born March 13, 1956 in Wake County to the late Edward Jackson Watkins and Mamie Smith Watkins. Jimmy worked 25 years with the City of Raleigh. 

A service to celebrate his life will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 23, 2019 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. 

The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 1:45 pm at the funeral home. 

Surviving: sister, Wanda Oates of Raleigh and brothers: Greg Watkins (Jennifer) of Clayton, Edward Watkins (Penny) of Rolesville; nieces & nephews: Gregory, Amanda, Hayley, Adam and Justin. 

In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Lee Watkins.
