Jeff Douglas Lawson

Jeff Douglas Lawson was born in Roanoke, VA on April 27, 1960, to the late Shelby Ann Lawson and late Douglas Axley Lawson. Jeff passed away in Huntington, West Virginia on Saturday, March 16, 2024, after a car accident.

Jeff went to high school at Hershel V Jenkins in Savannah, Ga where he played football. He joined the army soon after. Jeff proudly served in the Army MP core which included several tours overseas in Germany. He was the recipient of several military honors and service awards.  After being medically discharged, Jeff moved back to the states. 

He was preceded in death by his wife Anna Michelle Lawson. He is survived by his son Lane Lawson, brother Steve Lawson (Teresa), and sister Rhonda Godbee (Larry). He is also survived by uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, great nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.

Jeff loved visiting family and friends all over the states and everyone knew to have coffee ready for his visits. He enjoyed fishing for whatever was biting.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, March 25, 2024, at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27612.
