Jack Leonard Massey

Jack Leonard Massey, 79, passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday July 13th. He was born December 5th, 1941 in Raleigh to the late Addie Howard Massey and Maggie Jones Massey. After graduating Rolesville High School he served in the Army as a mechanic in Germany. Upon returning home, he found a career with Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals and served for 30 years before retiring.

A memorial will be held at Vision Baptist Church in Raleigh, on Saturday Aug 21st at 11am.

He is survived by his son, Kenneth Massey (Rachael); five grandchildren; sister, Emma Jo Watkins; brother, Wilbur “Billy” Massey; nephew, Mike Watkins; nieces: Billie Jo Spencer (Hal), Susan Price (Gary), Cheryl Ward; and several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Cathy Meeks Massey.
