Elmo R Moody

Elmo R. Moody, 94, died Tuesday, November 27, 2018. He was born August 3, 1924 in Wake County to the late Leroy Moody and Ruby Medlin Moody. He worked with Carolina Power & Light as a radio dispatcher. Elmo was a long time member of Bethany Baptist Church.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 28, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service & Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, 27545. There will be no visitation at the home.

Graveside service Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 11:00 am at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery, 3417 Rolesville Rd., Wendell, 27591.       

Surviving: wife of 68 years, Joan Shearon Moody; daughters: Karen M. Hurley (Don) of Wake Forest, Tania M. Boswell (Marvin) of Rockville, VA; grandchildren: Eric Hurley (Lori), Sarah Hurley, Rebecca Coffman (Joel), David Boswell; great-grandchildren: Kylia, Carson, Alek, Ella, Samuel.  

In addition to his parents, Elmo was preceded in death by brothers: Marion, Robert and Phillip Moody.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice, P. O. Box 70, Oxford, NC 27565.
