Ella Ruth Casper

Ella Ruth Casper, 89, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021. She was born on February 14, 1932 in Windsor, NC to the late Pattie Harrison Casper and Sumler Casper. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending her time in her yard and doing crafts.

She is survived by her sons: Wayne (Charley Ann) Hopkins of Williamston, Greg (Stella) Hopkins of Bear Grass; daughter, Donna (David) Brock of Willow Spring; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Pattie (Bobby) Lawrence of Fuquay Varina; and brother, Horace (Cheryl) Casper of Scotland Neck. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Almarie Matthews and brother, Billy Casper. 

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, May 10, 2021 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. 

The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at the funeral home. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Green Pines Baptist Church Building Fund, 1498 Hodge Road, Knightdale, NC 27545. 

The family would like to thank BellaRose Nursing and Rehab Center in Garner for their exemplary compassionate care of her for the last few years.
