Doris (Pittman) Bordeaux

Doris Pittman Bordeaux, 92, passed away June 13, 2022. Born on July 5, 1929, in Johnston Co., NC, Doris was the daughter of the late Jimmie and Mattie Crumpler Pittman. Doris graduated from Micro High School and Hardbarger College of Business in Raleigh. In 1950, she met Lawrence Bordeaux and they were married shortly after his return from Korea in 1952. They had many happy years together until his untimely death in 1995. Once their children were grown, Doris returned to work and spent 25 years in the accounting profession. She spent her retirement years serving with her church family and enjoying her favorite pastime, tending to her beautiful azalea gardens. 

In addition to her parents and her husband, Doris was predeceased by two brothers: J.L. Pittman and Elton Pittman. Surviving: son, Rick Bordeaux (Cindy) of Raleigh; daughter, Kim Jarrett (Don) of Vero Beach, FL; grandchildren: Amanda Bordeaux of Raleigh, and Josh Fulghum (Emily) of Richland, WA. 

Funeral service to be held Friday, June 17, 2022 at 2:00pm at New Hope Baptist Church, 4301 Louisburg Rd, Raleigh, NC, where Doris was a devoted member for over 62 years. 

Visitation at the church one hour prior to service. Private family burial, Raleigh Memorial Park.
