Donald "Donnie" Wayne Wall Sr

Donald Wayne “Donnie” Wall, Sr., 69, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2019. He was born October 24, 1949 in Wake County to the late Sam Wall and Leola Long Wall. Donnie suffered an accident on December 6, 1976 which left him confined to a wheel chair. He never let this disability keep him from enjoying life and making friends wherever he went. He had a contagious personality and never met a stranger. His family and friends will greatly miss his presence.

Funeral service 2:00 pm, Friday, September 20, 2019 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 8400 Poole Road, Knightdale. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 12:00 to 1:45 pm at the church and other times at the home, 4905 Old Faison Road, Knightdale.

Surviving: sons: Donald Wall, Jr., Travis D. Wall (Aleathia); grandchildren: Allston Wall, Caitlin Cutshaw; great-granddaughter, Daisy Wall; sisters: Carolyn W. Gower (Joe), Jo Ann W. Gower (Jerry); a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends: Phyllis Blackmon and Mary Ann Curtis.            

In addition to his parents, Donnie was preceded in death by his wife, Sally Knott Wall; son, Tracy Lee Wall; brothers: Thomas Wall, Carl Wall and James Wall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church.
