Deborah Ann Dixon

Deborah Ann “Debbie” Dixon, 69, passed away Friday, June 11, 2021 at Transitions LifeCare. She was born October 23, 1951 in Wake County to the late James Sherrill Dixon and Myrtie Matthews Dixon. Debbie graduated from Garner Senior High School in 1969 and went to work with Rural Plumbing. In 1974, Debbie joined Myrick Construction where she worked as their office manager for over 46 years, giving special care to the late, Steve Myrick and Roxie Myrick. Debbie was dedicated to her job at Myrick Construction but had to take a medical leave of absence in June of 2020, with hopes to return as soon as her health allowed.

She is survived by her daughter, Christy A. Funderburk and husband Billy of Wendell; granddaughter, Dixon Grace Funderburk. She is also survived by her extended family and friends, her work families, and a special friend, Judy Myrick Hicks.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, June 19, 2021 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545 with Reverend David Haley officiating.

The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home and other times at the home of Christy and Billy Funderburk.
