Dear Norma, David, Brother Bob and family, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of David. He was a kind gentleman who served and loved his God, his family and his country. The world would be a much better place today with more people like David in it. May God grant you inner peace and strength during this difficult time.

To the Wife and Family of Mr. Phillips, I would like to offer my condolences. I am sorry for your loss. It is always sad to hear about someone who devoted so much of his life to helping people and then pass away in death. From the posts that I read about him, he was appreciated by a lot of people. I have read about a lot of people who were in a war and afterward spend the rest of their lives in some sort of teaching capacity of which your husband was. He must have been a very patient and special man. His marriage of 63 years to you is proof of how much he valued you. You two must have loved each other very much. I lost my sister 4 years ago and I was comforted by the Bibles hope for a better future. I would like to share that same hope with you today. Death has touched all of us in some way or another. 1Cor. 15:24-26 calls death an enemy. Verse 26 lets us know that soon "death is to be brought to nothing". This will happen when the Kingdom that we pray for in the Lords prayer comes to the earth. The Apostle Paul at Acts 24:15 tells us that "there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous". We will see ones we have lost in death on an earth that has been changed to a place where Rev. 21:3,4 speaks of as being "without death, sickness, sorrow or tears. I hope to see my sister again at this time as I am sure you all wish to see David again. I hope I have been able to give you some comfort and peace this day from the Bible. If you would like some more information on the Bibles hope for loved ones who have died please visit jw.org and search "resurrection hope"

Your words are so kind. And yet, I don't believe David ever thought of death in his case was a bad thing at all. He lived a great - incredible life, actually - and then God took him home. Blessings to you. DLP

To Mrs. Phillips, Cindy, Dave, Cheryl and family, your husband/father was one of the kindest people I have met and known. I appreciate and will always think kindly of all the times I was welcomed by him and you all, to spend the nicest times in your home and in New Hampshire. I know you will miss him. I wish you all peace. Robin

Cheryl, Jenny, Brian and families,
I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your father and grandfather. He was such a wonderful man, always so kind and pleasant when I saw him. I know you all have many wonderful memories, and I can't imagine your sorrow at the swiftness of his illness. Thinking of you all during this difficult time. Love you all.
