Daphene (Wood) Radford

Daphene Wood Radford, 99, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2020. She was born October 6, 1920 in Franklin County to the late General Lee Wood and Lola Lee Shearin Wood. Daphene was a prior member of First Baptist Church, Venice, FL and a current member of Temple Baptist Church, Raleigh, NC. 

Funeral service 11:00 am, Thursday, January 23, 2020 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545. The family will receive relatives and friends immediately following the service. 

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Venice Memorial Gardens, Venice, FL. 

Surviving: daughter, Clara Evans; grandchildren: Billy Evans, Carla Parker, Katie Hyder, Amie Radford, Tammy Oakes, Ricky Radford; great-grandchildren: Hannah and Heath Parker, Tyler and Dylan Oakes.

In addition to her parents, Daphene was preceded in death by her husband, D.W. Radford, sons: Danny, Timothy, Ricky and Dennis Radford; and brothers: Elmo, Joseph, and Calvin Wood.

Daphene was faithful to her God and faithful to her family. She lived a selfless life serving others.
