Cossie (Narron) Atkinson

Cossie Narron Atkinson, 99, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2022. She was born June 19, 1922 in Johnston County to the late William Everette Narron and Jane Bailey Narron. Cossie retired from Westinghouse meter company after 29 years of service. 

A service to celebrate her life will be held 2:30 pm, Sunday, April 10, 2022 at Corinth Baptist Church, 13450 N.C. Highway 96 Zebulon. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. 

The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at the church.  

She is survived by her sons: Harris Jan Atkinson (Barbara), Jerry Brent Atkinson (Mary); daughter, Cynthia Jane Sminchak (Jeffery); grandchildren: Heather Roembke (Paul), Joni Burleson, Jason Atkinson (Amy), Brent Atkinson, Daniel Sminchak (Kristin); great-grandchildren: Lani, Bradley Ryker, Blake and Kyleigh . 

In addition to her parents, Cossie was preceded in death by her husband, Hardy Harris Atkinson; brothers: Onnie, Willard, Frank and Clyde; sisters: Myrtie Cockrell, Virginia Whitley and Eula Mae Johnson. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Corinth Baptist Church.
