Clarence Albert Thornton, 73, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2020. He was born August 6, 1946 in Wilmot, Arkansas to the late William Thornton and Beretha Davis Thornton. Clarence was a retired bus driver with the R.T.A. in Cleveland, Ohio.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.
He is survived by his daughters, Bethesda Kearney (Jermaine) and Simone Thornton; grandchildren: Caleb Thornton and Brian Stewart, Jr.; brothers: Lorenzo, Lemuel, Leon and Robert Thornton; and a sister, Eliza Mae Thornton McCoy
In addition to his parents, Clarence was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Dean Gosha Thornton; brothers: Johnny Lee Thornton and Lonnie Thornton; and a sister, Alberta Thornton Hill.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the scholarship fund for the education of his grandsons.
