Charles Hugh Oliver

Charles Hugh Oliver, 89, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2022. He was born August 18, 1932 in Elkin, NC and adopted at the age of four months by the late William Dewey Oliver and Annie Carter Oliver. Hugh honorably served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He married the love of his life, Leona Board Oliver on August 22, 1953. Hugh and Leona were dedicated servants to their Lord and Savior and served in numerous church and music ministries. 

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545. Burial will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park with military honors. 

The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 12:00 to 1:45 pm at the funeral home. 

Hugh is survived by his son, Keith Oliver and wife, Christy; granddaughters: Victoria Oliver and Alexandra Oliver. 

In addition to his parents, Hugh was preceded in death by his wife, Leona in October 2017.
