Carolyn Nichols Martinson

Carolyn Nichols Martinson, 78, passed away Friday, May 22, 2020 at her home. She was born September 1, 1941 in Wake County to the late Otis Nichols and Claris Faison Nichols. Carolyn graduated from Knightdale High School in 1959 and attended Hardbarger Business College. She was a member of Knightdale Baptist Church and a talented artist. Carolyn retired after 22 years of service as Chief Claims Examiner with the NC Department of Commerce.

A private family graveside service will be held at New Knightdale Baptist Church Cemetery.

Surviving: sister, Cathy Lee (Jackie); nieces: Debbie Lee, Kelly Lee Hansen (Charlie), Marianna Lee Brown (Jason); great-nephews: Lee, Mark, Scott, Tyler, Blayze, Hunter, Griffin and Jackson; and a great-niece, Chloe.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Leonard Martinson.
