Billy Brantley passed away on February 1st, 2020 in the loving presence of family at Transitions Hospice in Raleigh, NC. Billy was the oldest of three sons born to Weldon "Bud" and Elsie Brantley. He grew up in the Brantley town community of Franklin Country, NC with a strong worth ethic shaped early in life working on his family farm and later in his father’s country store.
Billy was married to Evelyn P. Brantley until her death in 1994. They were blessed with two wonderful children, Sharon Brantley Bunn (Bobby) of Clayton, and son Keith Graham Brantley (Victoria), and grandson Graham, of Summerfield, NC.
Billy later married Pat Richardson in 1996 and his family was joyously extended including her children, Susan Beck (Richard) of Zebulon, NC and Beth Diaddorio (Eric) and grandchildren John Berry and Lydia, of Greenville, NC.
Billy had an extensive and beloved professional career with the NC Dept of Transportation where he had many lifelong friends and connections that remain heartfelt to this day.
Billy could always be found fixing treasures in his workshop, on a ladder working on his home, and most often taking care of his yard. He enjoyed his church family at Pilot Baptist Church and the Pilot Lions Club and even some time on the golf course too.
He always had time to connect with family and friends and especially his neighbors who loved him dearly. He was a great listener as well as story teller.
