Betty Rose (Bridgers) Tilton

Betty Rose Bridgers Tilton, 85, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021. She was born April 19, 1936 in Edgecombe County to the late Charles Roy Bridgers and Beulah Roberts Bridgers. She and her late husband, Joker Tilton, owned and operated Tilton’s Auto Parts and Wrecker Service for many years. 

Betty is survived by her daughters: Jennifer Tilton Hernandez (Fred), LaTisha Tilton Williams (Robert); sons: Henry J. Tilton, Jr. (Debbie), Charles R. Tilton (Janet); grandchildren: Aquene, Xavier, Joshua, Brandie, and Hunter; great-grandchildren: Ella, Sadler, and Vivian. 

In addition to her parents and husband Joker Tilton, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Jonathan. 

A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 23, 2021 at New Life Church, 6900 Zebulon Road, Wake Forest, NC 27587.
