Obituary

Betty Gray Priest Nalepa, 84, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2020 at Duke Raleigh Hospital. Betty was born September 8, 1935 in Bladen County to the late Donald Baldwin Priest and Pearl Blackburn Priest. Betty was a retired nurse aide and a member of Garner Lord of Life Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband, John Joseph Nalepa III; children: Beverly Oliver (Ed), Jody Crafford (Gary), Karl Nalepa (Martha), Mark Nalepa (LouAnn), John Nalepa (Karen), Lisa Steinmiller, Dona Weigand (Andrew); 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a half-sister, Carolyn Meeks (Jim).

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Robert and Donald Priest.

A gathering of remembrance will be held at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545 at a date and time to be announced.
