Obituary

Arnold Frazier passed away peacefully on December 29, 2021. He leaves behind a loving wife, Sara Goodnight Frazier, his son, David Frazier (Dixie), and daughter, Terry Frazier Doub (Rick). He had five grandchildren- April Frazier Brooks (Trey), Allison Frazier Burns (Barry), Mark Frazier (Amanda), Lucas Doub (Torri), and Logan Doub (Grace). He was blessed with 8 great grandchildren- Hailey Kaye Brooks, Molly Marie Brooks, Camden Boyce Brooks, Blake Rivers Burns, Quinn Carleigh Burns, Mason David Frazier, Maggie Elizabeth Frazier, and Aria Logan Mahealani Roberts. Arnold served in the Army as a gunner on an anti-aircraft quad 50 caliber gun. His service to our country left him with permanent hearing loss that he never once complained about. Time spent with family was often around the dinner table enjoying a meal prepared by Arnold, as he loved preparing new recipes. In honor of his love for cooking, Arnold’s recipe for life is below.

Start with a base of FAMILY. Everything mixes with family. Love them hard and feel their love in return. Be proud of them and tell them you’re proud. Spend as much time together as possible. Listen without judgement. Support them. Show compassion and patience. Add a healthy handful of FUN. Take risks, try new things, laugh at a funny joke, tell crazy stories, enjoy the view, tell Dad jokes, pick up shells at the beach, and stay present in the moment. Dance like you mean it. Add a heaping handful of ADVENTURE. Book the trip to Alaska, Costa Rica, or Cancun. Go zip lining when you’re 78. Do puzzles. Work on a sudoku. Read the newspaper. Start that house project you’ve been talking about or call an old friend you haven’t heard from in a while. Go out to eat. Go fishing. Grow the best tomatoes in your own garden. Go bird watching. Add a splash of homemade WINE. Enjoy the beauty of the world and allow yourself to indulge from time to time. Before you dive in, don’t forget to WORSHIP and thank the Lord for your blessings and the precious time you have here on this earth. Rest in eternal peace Arnold, Dad, Grandpa, Great Grandpa, friend. We love you. You will never be forgotten.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Arnold April 16 at Arnold’s church The Kirk of Holly Springs, NC. A reception will follow for family and friends at the home of David and Dixie Frazier. All are welcome to attend.
