Alice Emogean (Dean) Driver

Alice “Emogean” Dean Driver, 85, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2020. She was born April 18, 1935 in Harnett County to the late St. Elmo Dean and Virginia Bullock Dean. She retired as a property manager with GEM Management, Inc. Emogean was a member of Knightdale Baptist Church for over 50 years. Emogean lived at Robinwood in Wendell, where she was the manager for several years, she loved the interaction with the residents and was comfortable calling Robinwood her home. 

The family will receive relatives and friends from 3:00 to 5:00 pm, Monday, August 31, 2020 at the chapel of L. Harold Poole Funeral Service. To adhere to the Governor’s Phase II regulations, social distancing and face masks are required. 

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale. Burial will follow at New Knightdale Baptist Cemetery. 

Emogean is survived by her daughter, Patricia “Pat” Driver Turner (Jerry); son, Ronald Earl Driver; grandchildren: Douglas Driver (Nicole), Amy Driver, Teresa Ham (Mike), Aaron Turner (Lisa), Robert Cooper (Jen), Michael Cooper; four great-grandchildren; brother, John D. Dean (Eleanor) of Roseville, CA. 

In addition to her parents, Emogean was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Earl Driver on July 26, 1983 and; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Driver.
