William Fernando Whichard, 76, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017. He was born June 22, 1941 in Pitt County to the late Reba Whichard Cusick, raised by his grandparents, William F. and Annie Whichard.  William honorably served his country in the US Air Force and was a Technician with Bellsouth.

Funeral service 11:00 am, Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Rd., Knightdale, 27545. Burial Raleigh Memorial Park.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at the funeral home.

Surviving: daughters, Lori Simpkins of Wendell, Sharon Seymour (Dale) of Raleigh; sister, Brenda Smith of Maryland; grandchildren, Jessica Norwood (Robby) of Creedmoor, Tyler Simpkins of Wendell, Courtney Seymour of Raleigh, Brooke Simpkins of Wendell.
