Stuart Carl Rice

Stuart Carl Rice, 74, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018. He was born February 6, 1944 in Norfolk, VA to the late Carl Wilson Rice and Mattie Mildred Boone Rice. Stuart retired from Westinghouse where he worked in Quality Assurance. He was a member of Wake Cross Roads Baptist Church.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow at Wake Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service & Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545.                        

Stuart is survived by his son, Gregory Stuart Rice (Cindy) of Knightdale; daughter, Carley Rice Green (Jeffrey) of Wake Forest; grandchildren: Benjamin, Daniel, and Rebecca Green; brother, Philip Wayne Rice (Phyllis) of Spring Hope; special friend, Margie Jones; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Phoebe Cherry Rice and second wife, Sandra Williams Rice.
