May you find comfort and strength from God's Word, the Bible and through talking to God in prayer. Psalm 36:7 says: "How precious your loyal love is, O God! In the shadow of your wings, the sons of men take refuge". Psalm 62:8 "Pour out your hearts before him. God is a refuge for us". Please accept my sincere condolences. Always remember God loves you and he cares for you! (Isaiah 41:10; 13; 1 Peter 5:7) jw.org

My condolences to the family: When someone dies we ask, "Will they live again"? The Bible writer, Job asked the same question please read, Job 14:14-15. 1 Corinthians 15:26 shows that God views death as an enemy just like you do. The scriptures also assures us that God is eager to resurrect your loved one who is now sleeping in the grave.- John 5:28-29. That will be a beautiful time. May this be of comfort to you, at this time of loss and death of Dick.

Dick Hurley was a kind, generous person, always willing to help others. We were neighbors, just two lots between us but in different subdivisions. He walked to my house several times to help me with my computer. Would like to have known him in the business world and known him sooner.

Bonnie,
I remember when you and Dick just started dating. I remember rejoicing when you were married, when he was promoted, when you became parents and even when you bought your current home. I am so glad to have known Dick. Now absent but not forgotten. My deepest condolences at this difficult time. Love and Hugs, Mary

I met Dick as a fellow Guardian ad Litem and, as we got to know each other and he learned more about my work, he referred many children to our youth development program for camp throughout the years. So many smiles happened for children going through some very difficult circumstances and they happened because of his persistent efforts. Dick was an exceptional advocate for children in foster care and touched so many lives. I am lucky to have known him and to have been inspired by him. My condolences to the family on what I know is a great loss.

Bonnie, I'm so sorry about Dick. He was a good man, kind and soft spoken. He knew a lot about a lot of things and I always enjoyed talking with him. I will miss Dick.

Bonnie and family: I wanted to send my heartfelt sympathy to you on the passing of Dick. We walked the beach with you and Dick, Joey and Becky many years ago. My Jim passed shortly after we saw you in February, on May 31st, 1998.

What a loss for us all. Dick set the bar high for how we should serve, on so many levels. His quiet excellence stood out.
