Reverend John Edgar Mullinax, 84, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017. He was born November 8, 1932 in Blacksburg, SC to the late John Raymond Mullinax and Estelle Whelchel Mullinax. John honorably served his country in the US Navy and retired after 20 years of service as a Chief Petty Officer. John went on to be a Southern Baptist Minister serving various churches in NC and SC.                   

Funeral service 1:00 pm, Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 8400 Poole Rd, Knightdale, 27545.          

The family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Friday, October 27, 2017 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service & Crematory, 944 Old Knight Rd., Knightdale, 27545.

Burial will take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.

Surviving: wife, Anne L. Guest Mullinax; son, John Philip Mullinax of Raleigh; daughter, Anita M. Barber of Sanford; grandchildren: Bryce Conner Hailey, Carson Brooks Hailey; brother, Raymond Dean Mullinax of SC.

Flowers are accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church.
