Nancy Matthews Brink, 68, of Wendell, passed away March 21, 2017 at Wake Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Nancy was the second of six girls born to the late Allen (Bro) and Mary Davis Matthews. Even as a little girl she was known as a “little mama”; always wanting to take care of others. Her sweet, helpful nature extended to all who knew her throughout her life. Nancy was an accountant with the firm of Barham, Guy and McKnight. 

In addition to her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her sister, Jean M. Lively and one nephew. She is survived by her loving husband, Bob, of the home, sons Tony (Krystal) of Pikeville and Kevin of Wendell; her grandchildren, Ashley, Ava and Ethan; sisters Linda Privette, Zebulon, Joanne Matthews, Raleigh, Mary Finnerty, Benson, Betty Barbour, Wendell and six nieces/nephews. In addition she is survived by two step-children, Suzanne, Raleigh and Alex (Susan), Burlington and two step-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her special “Charlie Bird”. 

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, March 25, 2017 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Rd., Knightdale, 27545. The family will receive relatives and friends one hour prior to the service. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, 3131 RDU Center Drive, #100, Morrisville, NC 27560.
