Michael Bourke Murphy, 23, passed away Friday, September 16, 2016.  He was born in Jacksonville, Florida to Robert William Murphy and Heidi Ziegler Murphy. Michael had a love for animals and worked for Sweet Paws Dog Day Spa. He received his CNA and was passionate for the care of the handicapped. A true free spirit that will be missed by his family, friends, and all that touched his life. At the time of his passing, Michael was sober and happy in  recovery.

A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at 7:00 pm at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service and Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545. With a final 23 balloon release in his memory.

He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Heidi Ziegler Murphy of Raleigh and Robert William Murphy (Kathy) of Florida; sisters, Tara Howell (Michael) of Ga; maternal grandmother, Jean Delorenzo Ziegler of Alexandria, Va; paternal grandparents, Elaine Murphy and Tim Murphy both of NY; step-brother, Jesse Forrester; uncles, Dr. Scott Ziegler (Gina), and Dr. Louis Ziegler, Steve, Timmy; aunts: Linda, Elaine and host of special friends.
