Mary Elizabeth Averette Weaver, 91, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017.  She was born July 2, 1926 in Wake County to the late Alonzo Deams Averette and Minnie Lee Helms Averette.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Vision Baptist Church, 7633 Buffaloe Road, Raleigh, NC 27616.  Burial, Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 S. Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 27603.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, December 26, 2017, at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545.

Surviving: husband of 70 years, James P. Weaver, Sr.; sons: James P. Weaver, Jr. (DeJuan), Andrew B. Weaver (Barbara), Richard C. Weaver (Betsy Ross) all of Raleigh; brother, Donald Averette of Fuquay; sister, Sonja A. Musser of TX; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mary Lib was preceded in death by her grandson, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
