Mary Jane Bailey MacGillivray, 85, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017. She was born March 6, 1932 in Wake County to the late James Yancey Bailey and Cora Jane Thompson Bailey.  Mary Jane married the love of her life, Robert Andrew MacGillvray on March 29, 1959 and shared 58 wonderful years together. Mary Jane retired as a Supervisor with the NC DOT Equipment Unit after 30 years of service. Following Bob’s retirement they moved to Knightdale and purchased a home where they spent many hours working together in the yard. She was a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church for over 20 years. 

A funeral mass will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2817 Poole Rd, Raleigh, 27610. 

Mary Jane is survived by her husband, Bob MacGillivray; a sister-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SPCA of Wake County, 200 Petfinder Ln, Raleigh, NC 27603.
